Entrance exams for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes 2018

Most of the student selections of Laurea degree programmes are carried out based on entrance exams. Applicants who have fulfilled the eligibility requirements and submitted the required certificates will be invited to the entrance exams. Only applicants who have received the invitation may participate in the entrance examinations.

The Laurea entrance exam invitations will be sent to the applicant's e-mail address given in the application form.

Each degree programme generally has its own entrance exam. However, many UAS degree programmes are in entrance exam co-operation which means the applicant writes one exam and the co-operating UAS accepts the exam result. You can apply to a maximum of six options of UAS/degree programmes in your application form. Your highest option of the co-operating UAS sends the invitation to the entrance examinations and your lower co-operating options will accept the result if it belongs to the same co-operating exam group. If you apply to degree programmes that are not in entrance exam co-operation together, you will receive separate invitations to each degree programme’s entrance exam.

Some degree programmes may have preliminary materials for the entrance exams. Any preliminary exam materials will be announced on this page when the application period begins. The entrance exam generally contains a written part (essay, multiple choice questions) and an interview. In order to be considered for admission based on an entrance exam, the applicant must acquire the minimum passing grade in the exam as described in the sections below. Samples of entrance exams from previous years are not available.

Note that the given entrance exam dates cannot be changed.

Please find the degree programme specific entrance exam information below. We reserve the right to make changes.

Accessibility in student admissions

Accessibility refers to the design of products, devices, services, or environments for people with disabilities.

An applicant may submit a separate application to request the right to special arrangements for taking an entrance examination. The application should indicate the types of special arrangements being requested and the grounds for the request (copies of the certificates for the grounds must be included with the application for special arrangements). In cases where an issue entitling an applicant to special arrangements already exists during the application period, an application for special arrangements for entrance examinations must be submitted by the deadline 7th February 2018, 3pm (Finnish standard time) to the admissions office of each university of applied sciences to which the applicant is applying.

If an issue entitling an applicant to special arrangements emerges or is identified between the end of the application period and the entrance examination date, the applicant must submit an application for special arrangements to the admissions office of each university of applied sciences arranging the entrance examinations that he or she intends to take without delay. Decisions on special arrangements for entrance examinations are specific to each programme choice and a decision is only valid on a specific examination date. If a person later signs up for an entrance examination for the same or some other programme, he or she will have to reapply for special arrangements for the relevant entrance examination.
