​Co-Created Healthier Uusimaa

The Co-Created Healthier Uusimaa –project implements one of the priorities of the Helsinki-Uusimaa Research and
Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization, the Human Health Tech. In accordance with the RIS3, the aim is to promote
sustainable growth in the field of human health tech via value creation of research and innovation activities, focusing especially on
strengthening the competences in user-centric design of all the actors. In addition, the project aims to promote region’s actors involvement in international networks (e.g. EU Health KIC, EIP AHA, ERRIN, ENoLL SIG) and increase the region’s share of international research and development funding (e.g. H2020, Interreg).

The Co-created Healthier Uusimaa –project focuses on promoting innovative health tech services developed for active and independent health promotion and self-care supported by the professionals when needed. The project will organize workshops for enterprises, public and third sector organisations and citizens to strengthen the competences in user-centric design and co-creation methods . The following workshops will be organised during the spring 2017 in different Laurea campuses: 11.4.Porvoo, 27.4. Lohja, 2.5. Tikkurila (Vantaa), and 10.5. Otaniemi (Espoo).

One of the outputs of the project will be a conceptual model and business case for the s o-called user panel which will, once in use, enhance rapid prototyping and validating activities of all the organisations developing human health tech solutions.
