Interacting network of intelligence and securIty practitioners with industry and academia actors

NOTIONES brings together academia and IT-industry with intelligence community and law enforcement. The goal is to facilitate dialogue about new innovations that could be utilized by the intelligence practitioners. Robust and innovative intelligence and security technological assets can heavily contribute to the early detection of enablers of terrorism. But how can security and intelligence practitioners benefit of these assets? And what assets in particular? First of all, they need monitoring the results of academic research and industrial innovation, and then, recommending the actions to be followed by academia and industry to address these results towards an implementation useful to fight against terrorism. The output recommendations will be synthesized into specifications that can be provided to industry and academy across Europe, providing tangible benefits to those organisations and individuals engaged in intelligence, security and related work. The results of the NOTIONES project will be presented to the broad intelligence community and will contribute to the definition of further security and intelligence research.
