Open study places in Restaurant entrepreneurship are open for applying from July 2nd to July 16th. Studies begin on August 27th.
The Degree programme in Restaurant Entrepreneurship starting in August at Laurea Leppävaara campus has open study places, which will be filled with a supplementary application period from July 2nd to July 16th.
In the Degree programme in Restaurant Entrepreurship you will learn about restaurant entrepreneurship by
- running projects and later establishing own companies
- producing and developing services using Service Design Methods
- networking with the student restaurant BarLaurea and other development hubs
The Restaurant Entrepreneurship degree programme focuses on developing students' managerial competences in planning, organizing and communicating as well as creative and analytical skills needed to drive innovation. The programme also helps students to acquire the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills needed to succeed in a range of hospitality and service business sectors such as for example producing services in the field of accommodation, event management and food business.
Graduates will have a broad understanding of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry and gain practical knowledge of all the basic functions of restaurant business. Graduates are practically oriented and can work as entrepreneurs or in different organizations and companies as experts and managers.

The application form opens July 2nd 8AM Finnish time and closes on July 16th 3PM Finnish time. The studies will begin on August 27th 2018.
To apply, fill in the application form for supplementary application at Studyinfo.fi and submit the copies of your educational certificates (final high school/upper secondary school graduation certificates) proving your eligibility to apply to the Laurea Admission Services by July 30th 2018 15:00.
Applicants will be admitted based on the supplementary application exam, which includes a written part (an essay-writing task and a mathematics-logics part) and a group discussion.
The entrance exam for the Restaurant Entrepreneurship will take place on August 16th 2018 at Laurea Leppävaara campus (address: Vanha maantie 9, 02650 Espoo). Registration starts at 8.00am; written exam takes place from 9.00am until 11.00am after which the group discussions will take place from 12.00am onwards.
