New Alumni Delegation established

Laurea University of Applied Sciences established the new Alumni Delegation to further strengthen the link between working life and the higher education institution. 100 Laurea graduates have been invited to join the Alumni Delegation for its first two-year term, 2015-2016.

- The Alumni Delegation represents Laurea graduates' competencies and placement in working life, said President and CEO Jouni Koski in the Alumni Delegation opening event.
- This is indeed an excellent time to set up the delegation, since this summer, the 20,000th student with a bachelor's and master's degree will graduate from Laurea.

The Alumni Delegation's task is to strengthen cooperation between Laurea and alumni in working life. Working professionals will bring their expertise and experience into the development of the university of applied sciences and its alumni activities. The goal is to develop life-long Laureans and further strengthen Laurea's position in Uusimaa.

In the opening event of the Alumni Delegation on 28 May 2015, Bachelor of Business Administration Jukka Aminoff was invited to chair the delegation, with Bachelor of Health Care Sanna Kallioinen and Master of Business Administration Jarmo Hollanti as vice chairs.

- Chairing this delegation is an honour and I am excited to be involved, said Chairman Jukka Aminoff.
- Alumni are a significant resource for Laurea. The strong link to working life that they provide enables the development of education at Laurea to better serve the changing needs of working life.
