Cooperation agreement signed between Kosovo and Finland

The cooperation agreement signature session between Kosovo Academy for Public Safety - KAPS, The Training Institute of Prison and Probation Services –RSKK and Laurea University of Applied Sciences was held in Leppävaara on Thursday the 10th of September 2015.

The aim of the cooperation agreement is to establish long-term and sustainable cooperation between the contracting parties especially in the areas of corrections, probation and law enforcement on all educational levels, research and development interests and exchange of knowledge as well as expertise in Kosovo and Finland. Current health care and social services themes in Europe and worldwide are related also to it.

Director Hannu Kiehelä (RSKK), General Director Ismail Smakiqi (KAPS) and President, CEO Jouni Koski (Laurea) agreed that the agreement will notably benefit the concrete cooperation between the contracting parties and towards to their other partners and countries in cooperation as well. Though shared expertise, networks and means, the cooperation contract opens possibilities to solve the faced challenges and changes to adjust successfully. In the near future there will be expert meetings in Kosovo and Finland. In addition to those, the active communication and common work starts immediately online.
