International Week 2015 (2nd March - 6th March 2015) invites Laurea’s students, staff and national and international co-operation partners from higher education and working life from the field of Social and Correctional Services, Business, Health Care and Beauty and Cosmetics to explore the theme:
International Learning – Together We are Stronger
This year’s IW focuses on such broad themes as international learning, tandem language learning, peer learning, work shadowing, cloud learning, blended and flipped learning, social media, mLearning, simulation and MOOCs that allow access to multiple learning streams and pedagogies and enhance personalized learning and professional growth. How do these different innovative forms of knowledge sharing change the future of professionalism, management and consumerism?
This week is meant to be a genuine meeting place for students, staff, researchers and working life partners from near and far with many interesting workshops, interactive happenings, fruitful partner negotiations and cool side events. We hope this week promotes both interdisciplinary networking on a local and global scale and the sharing of new innovations and good practices.
The tradition of International Week started in year 2000 and has created many cooperation projects. In addition to multidisciplinary encounters, the week aims to present, promote and discuss the current themes of Social and Correctional Services, Health Care, Beauty and Cosmetics as well as Business Studies.
Come and enjoy our world together at Tikkurila Campus!
