Timetable

This course has contact teaching on three separate days. In addition, this course has preparatory and complementary online teaching and independent studying.

Student has the opportunity to complete the Occupational Safety Card and the Well-being at Work Card during the contact sessions.

Accepting place in course requires completing a questionnaire which will be sent sent 11.8. This questionnaire must be completed latest 21.8.

After this, please note that studying begins proper 22.8, online.4.

Return of learning assignment: 28.11. Late returns accepted until the second general examination date after this (will be specified).

Content

The student is able to

  • define occupational health and safety and quality management compliance requirements, best practices and apply those
  • assess and manage occupational health and safety risks
  • plan, assess and develop occupational health and safety as part of organisations operations
  • lead and manage occupational health and safety operations

Teaching methods

All contact studies will take place at Leppävaara campus or elsewhere in the capital region. All online teaching and course communication takes place in the Canvas digital learning environment, real time online meetings in MS Teams and Zoom rooms.

Student workload

1 ECTS = approximately 26.7 hours of work performed by the student.

10 ECTS = 267 hours.

Evaluation is based on study plan goals and evaluation criteria.

The evaluated tasks are:
