The Laurea Tikkurila campus can be easily reached by public transport. The Tikkurila Railway Station is located adjacent to the Tikkurila Campus. Most local buses also stop at the station.
Ample parking space can be found in the vicinity of the railway station, especially on the other side of the tracks, Jokiniemenkatu 65-70. In this area parking is free for 12 hours and the Tikkurila campus building is easily accessible through an underpass that goes beneath the tracks.
If you want more detailed instructions for your arrival call the facilities superintendents, at the number (+358 9) 8868 7304. You can also make more detailed enquiries concerning arrival instructions from the service number of the Student Affairs Office, which you can see on the right.
The facilities superintendents also handle space bookings, if you are interested in booking facilities for learning or for meetings on our campus.
The student restaurant Amica Hella Wuolijoki operates on campus.
Education and learning environments
A wide variety of education is on offer at the Tikkurila campus. Courses are offered in Beauty and Cosmetics, Business Management, Nursing, Health Care, Social Services, and Correctional Services. In the autumn of 2015 new programmes will begin in data processing, as well as English language programmes in Social Services and Health Care.
Tikkurila is the only place in Finland where it is possible to get a bachelor's degree in Correctional Services, or in Beauty and Cosmetics in Finnish.
Laurea has a strong model for LbD, or Learning by Developing. The campus has many national and international projects, as well as strong learning and development environments with partnership networks. These include, among other things, the enterprise cluster CIDe Cluster, the POKE Living Lab for substance abuse treatment, and the Technology Library.
The bachelor's degrees in business management are completed on our campus mostly in project learning environments. Students of other fields also complete their studies in various types of projects.
The teaching equipment corresponds to modern challenges. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes, among other things, devices that make simulation teaching possible.
