Behavioural Insights Symposium

In the Behavioural Insights Symposium we bring together scientists, developers, practitioners, and students to discuss prospect of behavioural insights approach and to inspire new development initiatives.

In this event we wish to enhance design thinking by introducing views from behavioural science in development processes. The symposium offers possibilities for networking and discussions to all participants.

Welcome to the Behavioural Insights Symposium at Laurea University of Applied Science on Monday October 17th at 13:00-15:30. The Symposium is open to everyone and takes place at Laurea Tikkurila campus in Auditorium Minna Canth B101.

13.10 ” Is there a gender difference in willingness to compete?”
Keynote Speaker, Prof. Martijn van den Assem, VU Amsterdam  

Professor Martijn van den Assem from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam will present his recent research findings. Through collabroration with Nobel Prize winner Richard Thaler (founding father of Behavioral Economics) he has started a research track on gameshow economics. In his research he uses data from unconventional sources such as television game shows, lotteries and sports.
