The 2012 LbD conference will host 190 participants from over 20 different countries and offer an interesting and inspiring programme starting with the pre-conference workshops on May 8th, continuing with two main conference days on May 10th offering over 50 presentations and ending with the cultural post-conference programme that will introduce the participants to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Suomenlinna. You can see more details about the conference programme on the conference web page.
As in all Laurea events students also have a big role in organising the 2012 LbD conference. A group of Tourism students from our Kerava unit will be working as conference assistants during pre- and main conference, taking care of for example the registration desk and assisting in the session rooms. All the caterings and decorations will in turn be made by Laurea Events team which consists of Hospitality Management students from Laurea’s Leppävaara unit. A group of Leppävaara students from an Event Management course are responsible for the Get-together networking event on the first main conference day as well as for other creative aspects that can be seen/heard/experienced during the conference.
