The World Library and Information Congress 2012, 78th IFLA General Conference and Assembly, will take place at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre in Helsinki, 11.-17.8.2012. The conference is expecting some 4000 participants from 120 countries. During the week we will hear 200 lectures about librarianship in a broad sense, starting from freedom of speech to Internet applications and cataloguing systematisation. The get-together party will host participants from different countries and offer an interesting and inspiring opportunity for networking and sharing insights. Cycling and Sauna on Mon 13.8. in Pakila
Welcome to a bicycle tour in an idyllic landscape of Helsinki with the organizers and participants of the Cycling for libraries tour 2012. The tour goes by the most peaceful scenery heading up to Tuomarinkylä manor, where we turn back to Pakila’s allotment where you can enjoy the traditional Finnish sauna with a swim in a river as well as some refreshments.
