Open University of Applied Sciences
Studies at the Open University of Applied Sciences are open to everyone without age limit or basic study requirements. You can study while working, develop and update your professional skills or include the studies in a subsequent degree. However, Laurea's degree students cannot register as students at Laurea's open university.
Through open studies, students can complete study units of degree programmes leading to a Bachelor's or Master's degree for which the students have received restricted study entitlement with limits on time and content. However, practical studies and theses cannot be taken as open university studies. Hence, it is not possible to complete an entire degree at the Open University of Applied Sciences.
It is possible to choose study units from any degree programme provided that the group is not full and the possible preregistration requirements are fulfilled. All studies are steered by Laurea's degree regulations.
