Tourism
Graduates from the Degree Programme in Tourism in Kerava possess multidisciplinary skills. The tourism curriculum emphasizes business skills, i.e. human resource management, entrepreneurship, event management, marketing and sales. Special attention is also paid to developing customer focused services in Tourism. Moreover, students have a profound multicultural understanding involving tolerance, cultural differences, religion, ethics and intercultural negotiation.
The graduates are culturally aware having studied in multicultural teams and having been offered the possibility to study several languages in addition to art, heritage, tourism geography and design related subjects. Our students are innovative problem-solvers as they learn in working-life based projects, thus developing their project management, team-working, research, development & innovation skills.
The Tourism graduates are creative and used to present their findings and explorations to tourism industry representatives and in print. The Tourism Degree offers students for their future career lots of possibilities for professional networking and internationalisation.
For the Degree of Tourism at Laurea Kerava there will be no more intake in the year 2013 and onwards. So applying for the first year is not possible any more. The student groups that start in autumn 2012 (and have started earlier) continue their studies normally until they graduate.
