R&D and Services
Kerava Laurea R&D services are carried out as partnership-based workplace projects that integrate R&D of teaching and research staff as well as learning by students. The operating environment for R&D and regional development is a R&D environment focusing on user-centred design, UnIC (User Driven Innovation Centre) and Business and tourism RDI lab.
The business- and tourism development area LiiMa RDI-lab is an open space for lecturers, project-workers and students, a space where different cultures/people meet and interact within the field of business and tourism in research- development and innovation-projects.
At LiiMa we strive at enhancing entrepreneurial skills, creating and transferring knowledge together with stakeholders within the framework of sustainability, accessibility and usability for all. We operate within the field of services, targeting at innovations through new ways of acting, conducting and perceiving business, aiming at also developing new methods within international and multicultural networks of knowledge.
Moreover, the business and tourism environments focus on research, development and innovation of customer-focussed services and HR management as well as production management and logistics. UnIC’s R&D and innovation activities focus particularly on user participation in the innovation process, and on the diverse development of product and service innovations and user-driven and Living Lab-based research methods.
Linkki, located on the first floor of Keuda-house.provides services to support entrepreunership and employment to students of Laurea University of Applied Sciences. Linkki offers supplementary education and assistance in studies in different ways. The services also include implementation of various projects and recruitment between students and companys.
