Transport to the Summer School Venues
We advise our summer school participants to purchase a 4 day regional ticket (travel card) during the summer school. The ticket will cost only 30 euros, and you will be able to use it in Espoo, Helsinki and Vantaa with unlimited timings for the tickets.
To the 21st August venue: Aalto University, School of Economics
From the heart of Helsinki to Aalto University can be reached by walking.
If you live in central Helsinki hotels, Tram 3T, which is going to Eläintarha is the best means of transport. It will take 7 minutes from Helsinki Central Railway Station; and just 3 minutes from Kamppi tram stop which is next to metro entry. If you stay at Radisson Blu Royal, it will take only 10-15 to walk to the venue. The ticket cost for this journey will be 2, 50 euros.
If you live in a Hotel in Espoo Leppävaara, you will need to take a train to Helsinki centre and from there take a tram 3T as directed above.  
To Laurea venue on the 20th, 22nd and 23rd

The central railway station is in a walking distance from many hotels in downtown Helsinki. If you live further in Helsinki we ask you to consult your hotel for an easy bus or tram connection to the Helsinki Central Railway Station.  It takes about 20 minutes by train from Helsinki central railway station to Laurea University of Applies Sciences (Laurea) in Espoo ‎Leppävaara. There are trains every 15 to 20 minutes. Trains that are coming towards Leppävaara are Trains A, E, U, S and Y. A train is the slowest one and ends its journey at Leppävaara station. Other trains (E, U, S and Y) just stop at Leppävaara but continue their journeys further. These trains are however faster.

From Leppävaara train station it is easy to walk to Laurea. It will take 10 minutes to reach the building. The address is Vanha maantie 9, and it is located on the opposite side of the Sello shopping centre, across Turuntie road (main road besides railway station). From Leppävaara railway station buses 3, 5, 21, 24-35 and 110 can also take you to Laurea in approximately two minutes. These buses leave besides track 4 at the Leppävaara train station. You will have to get off at the second bus stop namely Gransinmäki (E1012).
 Bus 205 is the fastest means of transport to reach Laurea Leppävaara and it leaves from outside Kamppi. The bus stop is located in front of the movie theatre Tennispalatsi and will take you to the Leppävaara train station from where you will have to either walk for 10 minutes to Laurea or take one of the busses mentioned above. Bus number 106 will also take you to the Leppävaara railway station where you will need to walk to Laurea. This bus leaves from kamppi bus terminal.
The fastest way from Helsinki to Laurea is by taxi. In case the taxi is full (4 people) it will cost around 35€.
If you live in a Radisson Blu Royal you can also take bus number 110, 110T or 110A which will take you all the way to Laurea Leppävaara.
From Hotel Glo in Espoo Leppävaara, it is easy to walk to Laurea. It will take you about 10 minutes to reach our building.
The Helsinki 2012 Pavilion get together event
Here is quick direction on how to reach the Helsinki 2012 Pavilion from Helsinki central railway station. From Helsinki city center, take tram 6 (stop at Erottaja) or 10 (stop at Johanneksen kirkko – St. John’s church). It then takes about 5 minutes walking distance to get to the Helsinki 2012 Pavilion.
